Sailor Wrestling is a combat sport where the goal is to knock your opponent off balance. The sport combines balance, full-body control and explosive strength.
Modern Sailor Wrestling takes place on a rubber mat surface. Feet are placed against a support rail and must not move. The right hand grip is taken on the opponent in an arm-wrestling style. In the starting position, the back is kept straight and the grip is at the level of the shorter competitor's shoulder.
The bout starts at the sound signal.
